Hi! and Jess Reviews

Well,as some of you already know, I am usually too busy to post much but I am still very much an AG Addict! With Jess coming out I just had to drop in and post my reviews! It's so exciting when new dolls come out! I just had a bit of time to update my website some, although I still have more to add and change, hopefully I will have more time soon to do that. Anyhow, here are my reviews of some of the new things that I've added to my collection:

Jess - she is pretty darn cute, her hair is a dark brown/black with burgundy/reddish highlights which makes it different than AGT4 and AGT25. Her mold is also very different from those two. From online I thought they would look similar but in person she really does look unique. Her skin tone is fair (I thought she would be a bit tanned) and she has very cute chubby, rosy cheeks. Her eyes are a bit smaller than I thought they would be, but makes her even more unique.

Jess Traveling Accessories: Her monkey Toshi is very soft, very cute although wish it wasn't that color green - a bit pale and strange to me maybe they just want to make sure the people know that it is her toy monkey and not a pet monkey. The backpack is simple but a cute shape, it is closed with velcro and the front pocket will hold all her documents. The documents are my favorite part of this set, very cute and authentic looking, her passport even has a mini picture of her inside along with her information (her full name is Jess Akiko McConnell) And they do give you a good amount of things that are so fun to look at, like the Belize map and guide book! The water bottle is my second favorite as it is finally done in a good realistic size, unlike Marisol's which was just way too small for her. The butterfly camera is just okay, it looks more like a pendant necklace, really doesn't do much except the wings open, doesn't really look like a camera to me.

Jess's Kayaking Outfit Set: I bought this outfit set but not the kayak which does not interest me at all, looked really cheap being an inflatable. This outfit however looks so great on Jess. It comes with a really nicely colored Tankini, a wetsuit top (be careful when putting this on, the velcro sticks to the material and pulls it which makes it fuzzy. I could see this piece becoming quite pulled and fuzzy if in the hands of little ones), pink beach shorts (this is my favorite of the set, looks just like real beach shorts girls would wear), fushia sunglasses (a bit cheap looking), a sunscreen necklace which is really cute on, and wet shoes, these look pretty great too. These pieces are very nicely colored, even though they are pink, they do not look barbiesque at all, it's probably because the print is so nicely done, reminds me of Hawaii.

Jess's PJs - This set is a nice blue, the material is quite soft and thin and the style is very modern. I like how the pants are cropped with slits at the bottom sides. The slippers are cute but takes some pushing and adjusting. I didn't expect to get a little anklet but it does come with this little beaded hemp anklet which is adorable.

Elizabeth's Summer Gown: this dress turned out to be better looking in person than in the catalog and online. It's actually not that thick although the material is like stiff satin but this helps the gown to stick out and stay full looking. It's quite detailed and looks great on Elizabeth. The color made me hesitant at first but once on the doll it looks quite stunning. The hat is like Felicity's summer hat only it's covered in white satin. White backless slippers with kittin heels and trading cards also come with this outfit. The gown is all one piece and closes in the back with velcro (buttons in front are non-operational). All these new outfits came in new style boxes and they all have the same hanger which is now white and says American Girl in burgundy.

I also acquired the retired AGT#10 with dark brown hair and green eyes, she is simply stunning. I didn't really care for her before because I didn't really like the bright mattel green eyes. Then one day I went to AGPNY and they had one in the flapper costume and I just couldn't stop looking at her. She was already retired at the time so I had to get her off of Ebay. I got a pre-mattel one and so her eyes are more muted. I love her face mold too! I named her Geneva.

Geneva is so beautiful! I have the same girl named Susie May, only mine isn't PM, so I think her eyes are different.

Jess looks so pretty...I love the light pink to her cheeks!
